Step 8: Click on the IMPORT(SQL) tab in the middle top area of the screen.
Step 9: Click the Browse button and browse to the folder we extracted all the files to and go into the SQL folder and click on the file mysql.initial.sql and click open. Then click the GO Button and this will setup the database for Roundcube. Then close out of the browser.
Step 10: Locate the folder you just extracted and then go into the folder called config.
Step 11: Locate file db.inc.php.dist and rename it to db.inc.php
Step 12: Locate file main.inc.php.dist and rename it to main.inc.php
Step 13: Click ‘Start’ in your computer, then ‘run’ and type in wordpad.exe. WordPad will open.
Step 14: Click File then open and browse to the db.inc.php file Click File then open and browse to the main.inc.php file (Note: when you browse to open the file you may need to set Files of type to All Documents):

One of my client recently upgraded his wordpress blog to the latest wordpress version and after that he is getting lots of errors in his wordpress dashboard. Some of the errors are like

There are lots of work around for these errors and two of the most important of them is by disabling the plugin and increasing the memory size of the php.ini file in the server.

In this case I’m talking about Bluehost Webhosting server.

You can quickly disable plugins from your dashbaord or using FTP method. This tutorial is more intended towards activating the php.ini file in Bluehost.
How to active the default php.ini file in Bluehost?

Before performing this procedure, make sure you have a backup of your wordpress blog and also your .htaccess file.

Now login to your Bluehost dashboard and click on Software’s > Php config

On the next screen click on install php.ini and click on save changes. Follow the screenshot.

install php.ini This will install a php.ini.default file in your public_html folder. Using Web based file manager or any free FTP client like Filezilla you can rename it to php.ini.

Now increase the memory size from default 32M to 64M in that php.ini file.

memory_limit = 32M  Change this one to

memory_limit = 64M

and re-upload the file. Check your Wordpress blog dashboard and by now, your issues should be resolved.

I'd read about how you could get SSH access to your account by submitting a form of ID to them, but assumed it had to be done via fax. Being a luddite, exactly what a fax is and how to use one, is beyond me. However, it appears you can submit the ID via email as well (or a ticket, if you can work out how to do it in their ticketing system). As I had to have my ID in scanned form for my U.S. visa application, I had a copy lying around, so I submitted it.

After only five minutes, the ID was approved and I had SSH access. There's useful web pages around detailing how to set up Putty to access your Bluehost account. I still need to work out what I can do with this, setting up Subversion or installing Python are good indicators of what is possible, but aren't things I need.

Edit: Found a link to a blog post detailing how to use Bluehost for MUD hosting. According to the unofficial Bluehost forums, someone asked the live support whether it was okay to host a MUD under their account and the answer was yes. Unfortunately the blog has been removed, but the Internet Archive comes to the rescue.

Edit: Unfortunately, Bluehost isn't suitable for running a MUD or other long running applications on. Apparently, the longest a process can run is five minutes. Just running a Python server process in my shell account, it was killed in around two minutes.
